Abstract: | In this 3rd part of a series on the taxonomy of the Pipunculidae of Japan, the genus Cephalops (members of which are parasitoids of Delphacidae) is dealt with. A key to the 13 species in Japan (9 of them newly described) is included.Abstract 2: Thirteen species of the genus Cephalops Fallen are treated with key to species, descriptions and illustrations of important diagnostic characters. Three of them are newly recorded from Japan and nine of them are new to science. (The new species are the following: C. hirashimai, C. hikosanus, C. honshuensis, C. sapporoensis, C. pacatus, C. metallicus, C. incohatus, C. yoshiyasui and C. kumatai. The other species are C. furcatus, C. annulipes, C. aneus and C. obtusinervis). |
