| Abstract: | The genus is redefined, illustrations of male and female terminalia are provided. Five species are redescribed from their types and the following new species are described: Tomosvaryella aurata, T. crinita, T. platensis, T. virlai from Argentina; T. longiseta from Argentina and Paraguay; T. diffusa from Guyana, Brazil and Argentina; T. ekyphysis from Brazil and Argentina; T. incompta and T. manauensis from Brazil; T. bissulca, T. chilensis, T. curta and T. pruinosa from Chile and T. pectinalis from Chile and Argentina. New records on the distribution of the species are given. |
