Abstract:

Pipunculid larvae are endoparasites of several cicadellid and delphacid rice pests. Details are given of the techniques developed in the German Federal Republic to rear the pipunculids Pipunculus campestris, Eudorylas subterminalis and Tomosvaryella sylvatica in the laboratory. The parasites had been collected with one of their hosts, the cicadellid Euscelis incisa, in the field in Berlin. E. incisa was reared on faba bean (Vicia faba) plants.
